not clear whether or not these are arrangements - Hoboken seems not to say so (thought J. Haydn's trios were arrangements? Maybe this is true only of his string trios with viola.)

Grove Music's comment about these is "attributed to Haydn (early works if authentic)". Individually, H.V:3 and 4 are "?authentic . . . 3, 4 considered doubtful in HW xi/2" (this is the Joseph Haydn: Werke, ed. J. Haydn-Institut, Cologne), H.V:17 and H.V:20 are "probably not authentic".
