Extra Information Published in 1687 as 'A Scotch Tune in fashion', in Apollo's Banquet, No.5, Part 3 (fifth edition), for violin or flute (or treble instrument); it appeared for harpsichord in Musick’s Handmaid (Part II, 1689), with the attribution “Mr. H. Purcell”. It became widely known as “Peggy I Must Love Thee” after it was published under that title in Adam Craig’s Scottish collection in 1730.
