Wernthal may not have been founded until the 1890s and seems to have moved to Berlin only in 1899 (when they also published/republished Brambach's Op.42- and many higher op. nos. of his), to judge from HMB notices at any rate... Plate number of 51 is possibly Cohen's as Wernthal's plates typically had a prefix of O.W and Wernthal acquired Cohen in 1899.

Wernthal edition uploaded by us from Sibley later than the 1880 Cohen edition. The other two piano quartets are Op.13 (in E♭, pub.1868 by Kistner) and Op.110 (in G minor, pub.1899 by Kistner).
