Notes:

  • No.12: Maistre could be either Maistre Jhan (ca.1485 — October 1538) or Jhan Gero (1518 — 1583), because attributions to the two of them have been mixed up. However, this RISM entry for the psalm in this collection gives birth dates of 1505c-1577, which differs from either of those entries by at least 10 years, so it is unclear exactly which composer this is.
  • No.29: "Cortois" is in the heading of the bass part for this, which gives a possible composer, but this has not been confirmed, and none of the other parts contain this.
  • No.30: Though the heading says "Incerti Autoris", RISM identifies the composer as Henricus Schaffen.
  • No.32: RISM seems to question Willaert as the composer of this, because although they acknowledge that his name is in the header, they list the motet as anonymous.
