  • Monatsbericht (1904), p.398 oddly has 1904 for score (Carisch & Jänischen - might be score or parts, not specified; probably parts as above, actually)- quite a delay. 1901 copyright definitely on parts though. (Note: Monatsbericht (1901), p.457 also has 1901 for score (Eulenburg, this time, and score- Partitur- this time). Maybe it just entered a 2nd printing in 1904 (different company, also... !) :) - Schissel )

Composed 1900 according to Trapani Conservatory Biography; however, autograph manuscript of full score has date 1899-12-7 according to the library catalogue SBN (" FI0035 CFIFC Biblioteca del Conservatorio di musica Luigi Cherubini - Firenze - FI - [collocazione] C.II.AU.14 - [tipo di digitalizzazione] integrale ").
