| Extra Information | Viola Concerto No.3 "Extasia" is a three-movement orchestral work expressing the emotional journey of the solo viola — from introspection, to playfulness, to dreamlike transcendence. Movements one and two are lightly inspired by Peng-Peng Gong’s Viola Concerto, and the third by Dvořák’s Cello Concerto. |
Cello Concerto No.1 – Lurk – The first cello concerto by the composer, exploring depth, tension, and introspective resonance. Listen to the Viola Concerto No.3 on YouTube.
Viola Concerto No.1 – Depression & Resolve – Two movements explore deep emotional states: Movement I (Adagio) is a somber, expressive journey of pain and yearning voiced by the solo viola. Movement II (Andante) offers a fragile glimpse of brightness and acceptance, though tinged with lingering grief, reflecting the complex nature of long-term depression.
Viola Concerto No.2 – Urge & Dance – This two-movement concerto captures emotional tension and resilience, mixing intensity and lyrical playfulness inspired by personal experience.
Movements I and II were lightly inspired by Peng-Peng Gong’s Viola Concerto, and Movement III by Dvořák’s Cello Concerto.
About the composer Chakroun, Hayder – A self-taught Tunisian composer and multi-instrumentalist focused on orchestral storytelling. He hopes his music inspires others—in melody, style, or feeling—and feels honored when others adapt or build upon his work.
