| Manuscript Sources | The manuscript full score (holograph) is in the collection of the Juilliard School (local permanent link thereto.) |
Manuscript violin/piano scores and violin parts to other concertante works for violin by the composer (two, both entitled 2nd concerto, but in F♯ minor and in G major) can be found in the Mannes-Damrosch Collection, 1948–1986 at the Library of Congress.)
What was presumably this concerto was performed with the composer conducting in New York City 1875-3-20. It is described as "new" on the concert program (part of which is visible at the New York Philharmonic website).
The New York Public Library has the manuscript full and piano scores of a violin concerto "op. 8" composed "1858 Oct. 9" by the composer - quite possibly this one (though no further information is given to confirm? Perhaps a visitor to NYPL can get permission to skim Op.8 and compare it to this work as presented here...)
Musikproduktion Höflich has now prepared a full score (presumably based on the Juilliard holograph) available for purchase as of 2013 (and a reprint of the above piano reduction, also). (The preface is not as of 2016 available online, but the order # is 1334.)
