Misc. Notes Horns in F and trumpets in C as opposed to in D for both in the original (horns of course reading a seventh down and trumpets a second up). At first I was going to put the trumpets in B-flat, but because several high As become written B-naturals, putting them just outside the practical range given by Kent Kennan in The Technique of Orchestration, I decided in favor of C trumpets. The 4-sharp key signature B-flat trumpets would require would otherwise have been no deterrent.
