Langgaard, Rued (1893–1952)

  • Symphony Nr. 1 "Klippepastoraler" (published by Samfundet)
  • Symphonies Nrs. 1-16
  • Any other works for solo piano
the majority of Langgaard's works, including (as far as i'm aware) all of the symphonies, were not published until Edition S started issuing them in in 1998. these editions would be unlikely to be public domain in any country. as for the manuscripts, they are mainly held in the royal danish national library in copenhagen, and have presumably not been made freely available in digitised form because in denmark they do not enter the public domain until 2023. Cheap Imitation 03:50, 13 September 2013 (EDT)
not all the symphonies. Edition Samfundet (t. Dansk Musik) ( = Edition-S? ) published symphony no.6 (1919) way back in 1946 (Edition Dania imprint?) (and others of his works earlier still.) - E.S. (and sym. 4 was published in 1973 by Dan Fog. Sym. 7 may have been published in 1927, not sure...) Ah! I see. Interesting... the 7th symphony, 1926 version, was considered missing until a score published by the composer at his own expense (I assume sometime ca.1926, but maybe not- between 1926 and 1952, not 1998, anyhow) was discovered , which formed the basis for the recording in a review of which I found that information... (and ah, again: HMB lists - Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1927), p.125- "Symfoni No.7 Fdur f. Orch." by Langgaard, published by Hansen.)
Also, unless their recent publication (1998) or something else is a consideration, well, it is now 10 years later (i.e. 2023) and so some of the works you mention above should be PD-CA/EU now. -ES
