Welcome

Dear Wiki03,
Welcome to the IMSLP! We would like to thank you for contributing.

Please visit our Contributor Portal to learn more about contributing to IMSLP.

The Tutorial provides you a basic introduction to using this site. If you wish to contribute music scores, you will find all the details in the page How to Submit a Score. In addition to that, it is advisable for you to have a basic understanding of copyright law. In case you aren't able to find something you want to know in those pages, you can leave a note on the forums.

Please consider putting the Babel tags on your user page, to tell others which languages you speak. You can also use the Babel system to find users who speak a certain language.

You can communicate with other users by placing a message on their talk page (click on a user's name, and then on Discussion), just like I did on your page. When logging on the next time, this user will get a notification of a new message. Replying to these messages can be done on your own talk page, or on the corresponding user's talk page. Note that there will be no notification for the other user when replying on your own page. It's always a good idea to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), which automatically adds your user name and a datestamp.

If you want to discuss something with the whole community, you can post a message in the IMSLP forums. For very important messages, please contact the staff directly via the IMSLP staff contact list.

Frequently asked questions can be found on the FAQ page.

We're looking forward to your next submission!

File name

Hi! Just a little note about the file names... it might be a good idea to have a more descriptive filename, for example, Thieriot - Loch Lomond.pdf instead of Am403.pdf. You don't have to worry about what you already submitted; instead, just keep that in mind for next time :) Thanks! --Feldmahler 04:50, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

Hello! The file name “Lochlomond.pdf” was not accepted. (Error message in the Browser) This is the reason, why the file is called now “Am403”! Best wishes Wiki03

Ah... thank you for reporting this! I've managed to fix this problem. Apparently, there was a bug that made verification fail on file extensions that are not all lowercase (ex. ".PDF"). Now this should work correct, though it still might be a good idea to use the lowercased version (".pdf") just for consistency. Thanks! --Feldmahler 12:22, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

Empty work pages

Hello Wiki03, I would like to remind you that the work pages Klavierkonzert C-Dur (Reinecke, Carl), Klaviertrio f-moll (Thieriot, Ferdinand), Konzert für Violine und Orchester (Thieriot, Ferdinand) and Tripelkonzert D-Dur (Thieriot, Ferdinand), which you have created on April 5, are currently empty. If you are going to add works to them in the near future, please let me know, otherwise I will delete the pages shortly if they are still empty. However, feel free to recreate them at any time if needed. Thanks for contributing --Leonard Vertighel 05:34, 7 April 2007 (EDT)

Just adding to the list: Juventuti et patriae (Kaun, Hugo), 2. Streichquartett, d-moll (Kaun, Hugo), 1. Klavierkonzert es- moll (Kaun, Hugo), Waltzes (Johannes Brahms). --Leonard Vertighel 06:51, 7 April 2007 (EDT)

OK. Please erase the Workpages. I´ll do the work later. Wiki03

Dear Wiki03,

Thank you for your submission. The upload was successful, but you did not provide enough source and publisher information. Can we kindly ask you to fill in as much information as possible? Correct identification of a score is absolutely needed to make sure a score is in public domain and does not violate copyright laws. Also, this identification reflects IMSLP's strive to quality and completeness.

Please pay attention to the following items:

  • Scanner:This field should include the name of the scanner, or the website where the file was obtained.
  • Editor: The person who edited the score. This is not always known, usually the editor is printed on top of the first page (e.g. edited by... ; in french revue par... or éditée par...; in German bearbeitet von...). This field can concern the original editor, and in case of a typesetted score, the typesetter.
  • Publisher Information: You can find publisher information usually on the bottom of the first pages of the score. The format for this field is as follows: "<Place>: <Publisher Company>, No. <Publisher's publication number>, <Date>. Plate <Plate number>."

More fields are described in the Score submission guide.

You will find a lot of information on the first pages of the score. If you have problems gaining information, more tips and help are provided at IMSLP:Contributing scores and Historical Publication Info. An example of a good submission is Frühlingsrauschen (Sinding, Christian)

Αυτό το πεδίο αφορά τον αυθεντικό επιμελητή, ή στην περίπτωση στοιχειοθετημένων παρτιτούρων, τον στοιχειοθέτη.

Music of Hans Faehrmann

Thank you for uploading his 7th sonata! I am highly interested in these sonatas of Faehrmann and would love to get the 11 that have been published (and if possible the 3 unpublished). It would be interesting to me if you could let me know from where or whom you obtained this score. We could certainly write by email, if you wish. I'm glad to know that someone actually uploaded one of his works here, as it is extremely hard to find out much about this elusive, yet talented composer.

Thank you again and I hope that we can soon be in contact!

- Chris

P.S. I thought all of Otto Junne's printing plates were destroyed in the war...was there another source of publication as well? Any manuscripts of which you might know?

Boléro (Ravel, Maurice)

Hi Wiki03. IMSLP's current policy is to not permit audio files generated by computers, unless they are for an obscure or new work. In accordance with that, I'm afraid the MP3 you uploaded of Boléro had to be deleted. Sorry, KGill talk email 22:52, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Prelude and Fugue in C major, BWV 545 (Bach, Johann Sebastian)

Hi Wiki03. Are you Walter F. Zielke, or do you have his permission to upload his recording here? Thanks, KGill talk email 01:25, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
