A 3-movement early version of Op.65 no.3 exists in autograph manuscript at SBBerlin.
Op.65 No.2 reuses a postlude (the Nachspiel in D major, MWV W 12) composed in Rome in 1831, according to Todd (Mendelssohn: A Life in Music, p.487). Composition and revision of the sonatas continued well into 1845. - Schissel
