Composer's manuscript, 13 May 1820. (Extracted from manuscript of opera.
Possibly/probably extracted from RISM 464000246 (from the autograph manuscript of the entire opera, which can be downloaded from SBB(erlin) here.) 13 May 1820 is given as the date of completion of the whole opera, not just the overture. Jahns comments on Dresden. vollendet d: 13. May 1820. in his Carl Maria von Weber in seinen werken (Thematic Worklist) and RISM gives date for the autograph of 1819–1821 (perhaps for reasons explained by Jähns) rather than to 1820.

Libretto
Aria "Leise, leise, fromme Weise" (Act II, No.8)
1. Leise, leise, fromme Weise,
Schwing dich auf zum Sternenkreise!
Lied, erschalle! Feiernd walle
Mein Gebet zur Himmelshalle,
Zur Himmelshalle.
2. Zu dir wende ich die Hände,
Herr, ohn' Anfang und ohn' Ende!
Vor Gefahren uns zu wahren,
Sende deine Engelscharen,
Deine Engelscharen.
Chorus "Wir winden dir den Jungfernkranz" (Act III, No.14)
1. Wir winden dir den Jungfernkranz
Mit veilchenblauer Seide,
Wir führen dich zu Spiel und Tanz,
Zu Glück und Liebesfreude.
- Chorus:
- Schöner grüner, schöner grüner Jungfernkranz!
- Veilchenblaue Seide, veilchenblaue Seide.
2. Lavendel, Myrt' und Thymian,
Das wächst in meinem Garten;
Wie lang bleibt doch der Freiersmann?
Ich kann es kaum erwarten. + Chorus
3. Sie hat gesponnen sieben Jahr
Den gold'nen Flachs am Rocken;
Die Schleier sind wie Spinnweb' klar,
Und grün der Kranz der Locken. + Chorus
4. Und als der schmucke Freier kam,
War'n sieben Jahr verronnen;
Und weil sie der Herzliebste nahm,
Hat sie den Kranz gewonnen. + Chorus
