Misc. Comments
For the 4th Sunday after Trinity
Section Listing
- Aria (Alto): Ein ungefärbt Gemüte. The obligatto here is a unison of all of the strings. However, the thematic elements are shared, and the voice is a part of the same texture as the strings, creating a trio. F Major
- Recitativo (Tenor): Die Reiclighkeit ist eine den Gottesgaben. Secco recitative. B♭ Major
- Tutti: Alles nun, das ihr wollet. The central movement of the work. The text is biblical. This is also the biggest movement, with two distinct section creating a prelude and fugue. g minor
- Recitativo (Bass): Die Heughelei ist ein Brut, die Belial gehecket. Recitative with strings. F Major-C Major
- Aria (Tenor): Treu und Wahrheit sei der Grund. Like the first movement, the texture is much more homogeneous than in most arias, this with two oboes d'amore, tenor and continuo. The motive is again shared. a minor
- Choral: O Gott, du frommer Gott. A chorale "More richly decked out than usual"1 to close. F Major
