Misc. Comments
For the Feast of St. John the Baptist. This cantata is a sacred parody of BWV 30a, and discussion of the music can be found there. The differences are listed here, however (Numbers refer to BWV 30a unless otherwise stated):
- As usual, recitatives (Nos. 2, 4, 7, 9, 11 in BWV 30) are newly written.
- A chorale is placed between Nos. 5 and 6.
- In No.7, the oboe obbligato is replaced with an oboe d'amore.
- No. 11 is omitted.

- Recitativo: "Wir haben Rast" for bass and continuo
